Ela Skorska is a photographer and multidisciplinary visual artist who works predominantly with analogue cameras. Her practice also incorporates sculpture, painting, and Super 8.
After spending a few years hitchhiking around Europe and living between France and England, she settled in the UK. Currently based in the Peak District, she is a recent graduate of BA Photography at Manchester School of Art. As a part of an Exchange Programme, she studied Fine Arts for a year at UCLM in Cuenca, Spain, which resulted in her formulating a versatile practice as a consequence of developing a passion for Fine Arts, film art and experimental cinema.
Ela’s work investigates the interplay of light and shadow, focused on abstraction and geometrical shapes created by collaborating with chance.
The City, with its structures, play a significant role in Ela’s work, delivering her ever-inspiring playground for exploration and creativity expressed through her brutalist perspective rooted in her upbringing in Poland.
Ela displayed her work in group exhibitions in the UK and Spain.
